Kevin D. Williams

Mr. Williams focuses his practice on the prosecution of patent applications, primarily in the electro-mechanical and mechanical fields. He has experience advising clients on patentability, validity, freedom-to-operate, and infringement issues. A sampling of the technologies Mr. Williams has experience handling includes medical devices, power generation systems, household appliances, power distribution systems, smart cards, semiconductors, and printing systems.

Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Williams gained eight years of experience as an examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office examining applications for various printing devices, including inkjet and thermal printing, rotary press printing, and electrophotography. Before joining Nixon & Vanderhye, he was an associate at an intellectual property firm in Alexandria, Virginia.

Mr. Williams is a member of the Virginia bar and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
