Chris Comuntzis

Mr. Comuntzis specializes in all aspects of intellectual property cases dealing with a variety of technologies. His primary emphasis is on electronic and electric inventions, having been involved in prosecuting patent applications and litigating patents related to battery, nuclear magnetic resonance imaging, integrated circuits, video displays, and optical waveguide technologies. He has also drafted and negotiated license agreements for patented inventions and rendered patentability, validity and infringement opinions relating to patents in diverse technological fields.

Prior to his experience in the legal profession, Mr. Comuntzis was a project engineer in the power utility field, which included work on automating power system control and telemetering power system parameters over powerlines, telephone lines and microwave radio hops to a centralized control center. He also contributed to the redesign of power generation, transmission and distribution facilities to improve system efficiency and reliability.

Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, Mr. Comuntzis is admitted to the bars of the District of Columbia, the State of Maryland and the United States Supreme Court. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Maryland.
