BRYAN H. DAVIDSON was born in Louisville, Kentucky on August 25, 1954. Upon graduation from high school, he entered the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York by Congressional Appointment. Mr. Davidson later transferred to the Georgia Institute of Technology and graduated in 1976 with a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering. Practical engineering experience included employment as a process control and instrumentation engineer for a consulting engineering firm in Atlanta, Georgia following his graduation from Georgia Tech which provided him with a wide exposure to a number of chemical processing technologies.
In 1980, Mr. Davidson graduated from Mercer University with a J.D. degree and began his career in intellectual property law as an associate of the firm Cushman, Darby & Cushman. He became a partner of the Cushman, Darby & Cushman firm in 1985. Before joining the firm of Nixon & Vanderhye in June, 1987, Mr. Davidson was employed as an Associate General Counsel with Celanese Fibers, Inc. in Charlotte, North Carolina where he was involved principally with the protection of intellectual property in the areas relating to the company's synthetic fibers and microporous polymer membrane businesses.
Mr. Davidson is admitted to practice in Virginia,
the District of
Columbia and before the U.S. District Court
for the District of
Columbia, the Court of Appeals for the Federal
Circuit, and the U.S.
Patent and Trademark Office. His professional
affiliations include the
District of Columbia Bar Association and the
American Intellectual
Property Law Association.
